"Ride Better" Clinics

What is a RIDE BETTER Clinic?

The RIDE BETTER clinics at Paradise Farm are geared towards the specific needs of the individual that attends. The lessons are not discipline specific. We ask our riders to access themselves and their horses and tell us their strengths and weaknesses. And we ask them their goals. Where are they now and where do they want to go? What do they feel they need to work on?

By listening to the riders, an assessment can be made how to best help each horse and rider team. Some people have confidence issues. Some can’t manage their horses in a group because of pulling. Some want to compete at high levels. Some want to hunt. Others may be training for a pony club rally.

There are five basic principles used in the RIDE BETTER Clinics.

Safety, balance, control, confidence and fun. Each principle is connected to the next. All Lessons start at a most basic level. Their progression depends on the ability and confidence of each pair.

The RIDE BETTER Clinics guarantee a new way of looking at riding your horses. The principles are not new. But the explanations are. The exercises used are age old. The clinics are designed to help people to become safer, more balanced, controlled, confident and happier riders.Paradise Farm is a complete facility that can help dressage, show jumping, cross country, fox hunters or the person that just wants to enjoy a “BETTER RIDE!”

Each clinic is different depending on the needs of the participants. Flat lessons are generally one on one but can also be in groups. Jumping lessons are mostly in groups. Session times can vary.

Lessons are taught by the concept, not by the hour at Paradise.

Rider release must be signed before riding and helmets must be worn at all times.
